Childline – Helpline for children and young people in danger or distress. Telephone counselling for any child with any problem. 24 hour support, advice and referrals.

Parentline Plus – A freephone helpline offering support and information to anyone parenting a child. It also runs parenting courses. – Friendly confidential drugs advise for young people.

Avert – International charity providing information on HIV/AIDS. Its website includes sections aimed specifically at young people.

Stonewall – Stonewall is an organisation which campaigns for equal rights for lesbians, gay men and bisexuals. One campaign focusses on challenging homophobic bullying in schools. – Provides information about a range of publications, training and consultancy products and services that aim to enable children and young people to acheive  positive changes in their knowledge, attitudes, abilities, choices and behaviour.

AYME (pronounced ‘aim’) – AYME is the largest charity for children and young people with ME/CFS.

The National Autistic Society – The National Autistic Society is the leading UK charity for people with autism (including Asperger Syndrome) and their families.

 The Mix – The Mix is the UK’s leading support service for young people. We are here to help you take on any challenge you’re facing – from mental health to money, from homelessness to finding a job, from break-ups to drugs. Talk to us via online, social or our free, confidential helpline.

Epilepsy Society The Epilepsy Society is the leading national epilepsy medical charity working for everyone affected by epilepsy.

The Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre – CEOP works across the UK tackling child sex abuse and providing advice for parents, young people and children about internet safety and online safety.

Rise Above – A new website by young people for young people to help deal with the pressures of growing up.

Somerset Local Safeguarding Board – Somerset’s child protection website with the most up to date information and guidance for parents.

Thinkuknow – Guidance on all aspects of child internet safety.

Educate Against Hate – This website gives parents, teachers and school leaders practical advice on protecting children from extremism and radicalisation.

REACH Youth Work – This service works closely with South Somerset Partnership School to provide additional support as required by individual students.

EQUUS – This is a equine assisted coaching service which SSPS has close links with.
