Somerset Local Authority knows that, sometimes, a young person will achieve their potential best if they are placed in a PRU in Year 11. These pupils are based at the Lower Site in Dampier Street. Permanently excluded and students at high risk of permanent exclusion are referred to the centre through the PEVP panel. Students then stay at the centre for the remainder of their Key Stage 4 education, allowing for continuity of support and the opportunity to gain GCSE and Vocational qualifications. The Centre has a maximum capacity of 15 pupils.
