We have received a lovely phone call from a parent today expressing their gratitude and appreciation for the assistance we have provided their child.

Congratulations!!!

Well done to our Administration Apprentice Ellie who was nominated by the Business Manager to Yeovil College as part of the National Apprentice Week Bun Run Nominations.  The nomination was successful and Ellie has been rewarded with the ‘Bun Run’ with cakes having been delivered to her today.

Severe Weather Conditions

The met office have issued a severe weather warning for parts of Somerset and it is not currently safe for the school buildings to be opened.  Therefore, the school buildings will be shut to staff and students until Monday 5th March.

Students who access our virtual classroom for day six provision, long term VC and personal learning packages will be able to access work online as normal.

Please accept our apologies for the disruption, the safety of the staff and students is our highest priority.

Adverse Weather

The school will be open today (Thursday 1st March) for students who can walk and for staff. We will keep you updated of any further changes in regards to this.

In accordance with Somerset County Council advice school transport is not running tomorrow (Thursday 1st March). Students who are transported to school are not expected to attend.  Students who walk are advised to check the website before leaving home.

Exam Tips:

                 Always eat breakfast or lunch before an exam

                      Arrive at school on time

                      Try and avoid stressful situations

                      Remember you have worked hard for this

                         If time allows re-read your answers

                      Take your time and some deep breaths!

Staff Awards

This week  staff members  Tam Warman, Zoe Catterall, Charlotte Rupp and Mitch Cawte all received Unsung Hero awards for their hard work above and beyond their general duties.  In addition to this Jacqui Lifton was awarded the special “One School, One Love” award  for helping to support many students across a number of our centres.
